- Phoenix Collegiate Academy will grow one grade a year to be a 5th through 12th grade school.
- All students must master an academic core of reading, writing and mathematics.
Details
- Phoenix Collegiate Academy will enroll 265 fifth through eighth graders for 2011.
- Each student will take daily two periods of math and literacy.
- College Prep curriculum includes: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Ethics and a Foreign Language (from 8th grade onward).
- The Ethics program will be based on these PRIDE values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, Excellence.
- Structured tutoring will be held daily, as well as a Summer Academy for students needing more remediation.
- Every student will take enrichment classes such as music, art, dance, sports, chess club or others.
- Students will have an extended school day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to maximize learning time.
- Parents, students and the school will sign a Contract of Excellence.

- Will the school offer free & reduced lunch and breakfast? Yes.
- Will the school check citizenship documents? No, We follow the same procedures as all public schools, and no citizenship documents are required.
- Will the school offer Special Education and ELL services? Yes, Although some of those services will be determined once we know the needs of our students.
